A response to The
United States perpetuatation of the production and implementations of mines. Children
of the "third world" get their limbs blown off every day because
of this. Why aren't we stopping this? Would this be stopped if mines were
found in the yards of people living in the United States?
I found an image at www.mnftiu.cc of a map used by a mine clearing team
in Afghanistan. The solid lines let them know the areas they still need
to clear, and the broken lines represent where they have cleared. Using
spraypaint, I redrew this map on my lawn. The prints document this temporary
drawing. |
